Steps

  1. Open Settings → Organization
  2. This is where your company profile lives
  3. Scroll to Tax Settings
  4. Select your Tax Center — this determines where your VAT return is filed
  5. Choose "Addis Ababa Revenues Bureau"
  6. Save — your Tax Center now appears on every VAT report

Organization Settings is where your company profile lives after onboarding — the same name, address, and registration details, but editable any time instead of a one-shot wizard. For Ethiopian companies, it's also home to a field that quietly matters more than it looks: the Tax Center.

Why the Tax Center field exists

Ethiopian businesses file VAT with a specific revenue office, not a single national portal, and which office depends on where the business is registered. Redovix's Ethiopia VAT Return report reads this setting directly — the "Filing with: [your Tax Center]" line on that report isn't decorative, it's the office your return is actually formatted for. Get this wrong and the return still calculates correctly, it's just addressed to the wrong place.

This is also the one Ethiopia-specific field that's genuinely optional to set during onboarding and mandatory before you can rely on VAT reporting — you can finish company setup without it and come back here later, which is exactly the workflow this tutorial covers.

Tips

  • You can change your Tax Center later if your business registration moves — the VAT Return report always reflects whatever is currently set, not what was set when a past period was filed.
  • The Ethiopia VAT Return report itself has a "Change" link next to the Tax Center line that jumps you straight back to this screen, if you'd rather set it from there than navigate here directly.
  • Every other field on this page (company name, address, registration number) feeds your printed invoice and report headers — treat it as the canonical version of your company's letterhead.
